Pledis is only doing right with Seventeen rn, hope Pledis Girlz pull thru

NU'EST got the promo. What ended them was the emergence of SHINee, who were sort of a successful flop until the "Sherlock" promo which moved them up a tier. NU'EST, being essentially a gayer SHINee, was made redundant. And their me-too concepts like "Action" and "Hello" among all the other boy groups that popped up in 2012 added to the redundancy.
Add in After School's inability to sustain a successful run in Japan, and money problems compounded themselves for Pledis. The only real money Pledis had coming in was from Fantagio to manage HelloVenus.
After HelloVenus was
sabotaged canceled (and replaced by AOA as the trend 2012 girl group), things started to look up for Pledis as they began receiving a lot of support from CJE&M -- something that wasn't always the case in the past. Not only was their at the time web-only Seventeen project boosted by actual TV shows, Pledis also received production support from CJE&M favored companies like YMC and Brand New Music.
Will be interesting to see how the Pledis Girls turn out if Pledis are all out of favors.
