Fashion! sounds extremely relevant to the modern radio but all the Little Monsters despise it for some reason, despite it being one of the standout songs on the album. Probably because it was added without Gaga's blessing.

I don't get how people can praise BTW yet shade ARTPOP. Both albums are essentially the same (loud, noisy, in-your-face, nonsense lyrics) with BTW being slightly better and more "experimental". The Fame Monster is CLEARLY her magnum opus, followed by The Fame. Cheek 2 Cheek will be her 1st great album since TFM.

Except BTW has execution and direction. It may not be "fierce" and the era was bad, the album is still good.
TFM is great, but only because it has 8 songs.

Interesting though that C2C will probably be the least label intervention she'll have since she'll be working with Tony. Might get some exciting original lyric work from her in her original tracks.

It's hard to explain what "fresh" means since I think it's subjective. When I listen to the album's instrumentals, I hear production I've never heard from her before. Every song's production is rich, bass-filled, and contains layer upon layer of diverse perfection (DJWS' work mainly). Every time I listen to the instrumentals, I hear something I hadn't heard before. On the contrary, when I listen to the instrumentals from her older work, it's more washed-out and bland. I didn't realize this, actually, until I did just that. I was listening to Gaga's discography on shuffle and 'Applause' came on after 'Bad Romance' and I was just like, "holy ****".

TFM was perfect due to how perfect her image and persona was. The music was great but that was because it was an EP. It wouldn't work as an album because it never ends, there isn't a closer. Just kind of trails off after Teeth..

Well, by classic, I meant within like the past five years. Not a reaaaaal genuine classic but that it is remembered around the dance scene still (it's still tracking on iTunes). You know how we are with delusionary statements.

No one would be calling TFM her Magnum Opus if it hadn't slayed. Fans are blinded by the success and the fact that Gaga was on top of the world. In addition, that was the time many of us went from fan to full-blown stan, so the magic we felt back then simply cannot be recreated and makes it hard to appreciate anything past it. I didn't become a stan until after BTW, so I don't have the same fogged lenses.

You think so? I've always felt like C2C was a PR move to rehabilitate her image. She always falls back onto jazz when there's backlash to "remind people she's talented".

I just don't see it like this at all. I do think Venus sounds like something she would have put on BTW, which is why I love it, but I don't think it sounds like BR.
Aura follows the 'Judas' set up with the verses and chorus, but it in no way sounds like anything on BTW.
Swine isn't my fave song, but it is the closest she's ever gotten to experimental. It's unlike anything she's ever created.
Gypsy and Hair are not alike in any way. They just happen to both be very carefree and fun.

Sorry, but I can do the exact same with BTW.
Born This Way - Express Yourself
Judas - BR remake
You & I - sounds like Queen (nice lyrics for a change)
The Edge of Glory - Bruce Springsteen (good track though)
Electric chapel - best part of the song is stolen (google "Heideroosjes gaga")
etc. Sorry, but your post was just so biased. In essence, ARTPOP & BTW are the same.

I think C2C is definitely a PR move but, as it is just too easy to make, I feel like Gaga could really do some great things lyrically and sonically if she wanted to with her individual tracks. Jazz is a whole genre with so many opportunities.. and I feel like the label will probably be easy on her as her term is expiring and they'll probably want to help her as much but let her have this relatively "easy" project to herself.

DJWS doesn't get enough credit. The songs on ARTPOP aren't all bad, but as an album it doesn't work. It doesn't flow conceptually or rhythmically. It shows that Gaga is lost creatively.
But I agree that that the production isn't bad. Just wrong time and wrong lyrics

The only reason I'm here for the jazz album, apart from new music obviously, is that it means Gaga is aware of her current position in the pop world. People wanna say she's delusional and doesn't know what's good her her career, but this shows she knows a little rehabilitation is needed. I'm just kind of scared that she's going to do too much with the jazz like she does with everything else. Jazz is jazz, and although a pretty broad genre, its following isn't as open-minded as pop fans are.

I can agree with it not really flowing, but I don't think that's an indicator of her loss of creativity. She never claimed this album would have a theme. In fact she kind of claimed the quite opposite with her "it could mean anything" ****. The album, in my opinion, was always meant to be a collection of fun songs with the exception of Dope.

Bang Up, I don't want to shade you since you are a child of God / a Gaga stan, but are you Opacho / Anthagio?
