Fair enough, I think Your Love is My Drug is charming, but I can't get over the lazy chorus. Dirty Love is irresistible imo, although I can understand why it might be polarizing. Definitely a "love-it-or-hate-it" song.

Mariah had two meh-selling albums before she had a comeback, though. BJ is comparable to Glitter (poor reception + sales) and I assume Britney's next album is serving a Charmbracelet tea (slightly better sales [or the same] and a flop lead). Obviously I'm not insinuating her tenth album with be a TEOM-sized comeback, but I'm sure many ruled out Mariah like you're doing now. 15 yrs into Celine's career she experienced her lowest selling album and a flop maternity album, her 'comeback' wasn't until 2007 (17 yrs later). Whitney didn't even have an era going on 15 yrs into her career and the one that followed was Just Whitney, which bombed.

Madonna and Janet were the only ones who didn't experience a big bump or two in the road 15 yrs in.
