FOX has locked in a few more signposts for "The X Factor" this season, including a live wildcard episode on Sunday, November 4 as well as a two-hour finale on Thursday, December 20.

The wildcard episode's length is contingent on how the network's World Series coverage shakes out. Either we'll see two hours on Thursday, November 1 and Sunday, November 4 if there's no Game 7 of the World Series or a single 150-minute episode on November 4 if there is. Here's a breakdown of the understood scenarios:


Thursday, November 1 (if no baseball)
8:00/7:00c - "The X Factor" (New Two-Hour Live Episode)

Sunday, November 4 (if no baseball on November 1)
7:00/6:00c - "The Simpsons" (Repeat)
7:30/6:30c - "The Cleveland Show"
8:00/7:00c - "The X Factor" (New Two-Hour Live Episode - Special Night)

I'm gonna go with the former. It seems more logical now since they're probably all performing on Nov 1 and some will go home on Nov 4 + 1 will be saved on Nov 4. Guess Judge's houses is where it ends for these unwanted acts.

The way they did the wildcard this season was that at the end of the JH reveal, each judge announced their wildcard pick (one of the people they just eliminated) then the public voted for one of the 4 and the person that won entered the competition on the first live show. But they didn't announce anything at the end of tonight's episode so that can't be it.

A couple of seasons ago, each judge chose a wildcard from JH and they all came back and became finalists without a public vote. That can't be it either.

I think that Thursday will be a performance show and Sunday will be the results show, without a wildcard.

I know! There was no cohesion. They didn't even try to sing together in tune or integrate any sort of harmonies at all.
