Even if POM is new to the general public, the teenage dream era isn't. Katy hasn't taken any breaks, you can't have 7 constant singles push to 3x or 4x platinum
POM had no hype. Totga was still on the charts (probably even top 20?) when POM was released
and it wasn't even announced as a single until the day of the grammy's. no one even know about it apart from the real fans.
