I agree though, even as a hardcore fan it's not hard to see they're no top tier material yet, but putting them in the same tier as PoorMinit and f(eces) wouldn't make sense either since they're definitely hotter in Korea than both of them.
Actually you're wrong. Aoa is much more popular in korea than 4minute and f(x). Both f(x) and 4minute are more popular internationally, especially f(x) which has a large fanbase outside korea. Aoa's songs are really popular. I heard from some korean friends that aoa (and girls day) songs are keep being played in many shops and malls. Their sound is very public friendly thats why

It's such a mess that Short Hair outsold nation's anthem LUV despite LUV peaking higher. And on top of that AOA had another hit last year too, welp.
sadasdsdaj even more awkward that Mr Chu aka Apink's forgotten title track outsold and outpeaked all of those songs. So yeah, props to AOA for having another hit but I guess we'll just need to wait and see whether they can get several like their seniors/superiors.
