I used to think this, like maybe change "the applause" to "your applause" to make it more ~relatable~
But I don't think the lyrics matter that much tbh, it's the vocals in the verses that are polarizing. The verses fade away once the flawfree pre-chorus and chorus kicks in but you have to get past them first
