You don't have to like it, but don't expect the song to sound beautiful. It's the same thing with the cover. The gross teeth, the scars and sores, they're supposed to evoke those feelings of disgust. Drug abuse is not pretty.

Yup, it's a really well-written song. It's why the song is receiving such acclaim, because the lyrics and her voice is really raw and genuine. It wouldn't have the same emotional impact if she was singing softly in her head voice or whatever, her belts are going to sound guttural.
