How did we not know Carrie wore braces last year

My husband just texted to tell me that he’d landed in Vancouver. He’s an ice hockey player and they’d just had a game in Dallas. He travels as much as I do and our paths rarely cross, which is not cool.
When was the last time you cried?
I seem to cry a lot on planes when I watch movies. I think it has something to do with the pressure and the funky air. I watched the latest Twilight and I’ll admit that I got a little misty.
What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?
I don’t get embarrassed easily. But I was on stage once in Yakima, Washington, and I said Yamaha instead of Yakima.
That’s the only time I ever messed up. But they laughed, they were with me.
I got booed for saying I was a vegetarian in Nebraska. It’s a big livestock area, I’m still not sure how it came up.
What’s the best present you’ve ever given?
I got my husband a car as a wedding/birthday present. It was one I wanted too – a ’69 Camaro. It’s a muscle car and really loud. He’s very good in return, though, he likes to give me sparkly things.
What’s the worst present you’ve ever received?
I was dating a guy and it was my 21st birthday. He came over with a Walmart bag and it had flip flops, a candle and a scary movie in it. They weren’t even wrapped – he’d just done a quick trip to the store.
Who’s the best person in your phonebook?
Other than my husband, I have a lot of country music artists.
What’s a secret no one knows about you?
I wore braces at the beginning of last year for three months and no one knew.
If you could invite three people to a dinner party, who would they be?
FREDDIE MERCURY, because I grew up listening to QUEEN and I feel like he lived such a crazy life and would be a lot of fun. Any early president would be cool. And some crazy old cowboy like BILLY THE KID.
