I love the moment from the iTunes Festival, after she finishes her pre-"ARTPOP" speech, and she starts singing, the second she sings "ARTPOP" and the audience goes f**king nuts. Honestly I teared up during the performance.
Imma need Gaga to stick with these toned down looks she's been serving us since June. I was getting sick of the OTT costumes. It's become stale. I hope she's planning on reinventing her whole image + sound now. No more gimmicks. Just Gaga
But Gaga and OTT go hand-in-hand for a lot of what she does. The stripped back performances are extra awesome from Gaga because they're in the midst of the madness. I don't disagree a lot of it has gotten stale, but if she drops it all... things might not go quite as well as people thing. See: Minaj.

I think thats just because she's getting ready for C2C, she knows her demographic is different for this album and has toned it down for them. I bet as soon as C2C is over it'll be crazy gaga, but i hope she keeps it crazy like the G.U.Y outfits, slightly outlandish but not off-putting, hopefully things stay good BTS so we don't have her being a messy rebellious teenager again

You're right, Gaga and OTT do go hand in hand but I think she should at least drop the OTT fashion. I mean, the Venus look was a pure cry for attention and there's no denying that. Extravagant and OTT performances are still very welcome but I just think that the fashion nowadays seems forced. It doesn't seem genuine anymore. there's no meaning to it, she's just doing it to grab some headlines now. I just want an era full of toned down high fashion (McQueen possibly, Mugler, Chanel etc) but keep the big performances. The toned down looks didn't work for Nicki because she made herself into a joke. People were laughing at her. She ruined her career beyond repair.

I think the fashion isn't so much forced (outside Venus, that was a forced mess) but it's just... cheap. Messy and cheap. Her outfits used to be such high quality all the time. Especially her tour outfits. I'm excited for the tour, but she would NEVER have worn any of that stuff outside of the opening and closing outfits pre-ARTPOP era. I don't doubt she still cares a lot about fashion, but there's too much cheap (or at least cheap-looking) ensembles lately. She needs to go back to slaying in the way only she can with fashion.

I just want her to wear beautiful high fashion like she used to. People look at her cheap try hard outfits now and say that she's too weird and that it's getting old now. I believe that if she comes back next era with amazing music and a toned down look (that's still high fashion and just the right amount of avant garde) then she can slay again like she used too. she's been looking beautiful lately. I just want her to stay that way forever

I still want those special one-off occasions where she wears something batsh*t crazy. Not that often, but a handful of times a year. VMAs are an obvious event where safe fashion is just
I can't believe how being weird became normal.
I mean, I'm not saying Gaga's had that much impact, but damn, she really brought something new in the music industry.

It's really true tho cause all the people who have been shading has to realize that she, even though it may not be intentional, has influenced their faves.

She's had way more impact than anyone here would like to admit.
We can just continue to act like Katy, Nicki, Ke$ha, Miley, etc. would've started dressing "crazy" regardless of whether or not Gaga did it first or not.
Or we can state the obvious: Gaga made everyone up their game and completely changed the way people thought about pop music and visual art.

!!!
She truly did. That's why she's one of the most impressive popstars, don't care what people say rn.

Everyone knows that is true.
Of course, there is another fan base who continually will post large essays and rants about how gaga/Germanotta didn't do this or that, when, well, no matter how you toss the dice, those things happened and everyone tried to match it in suit.
I don't like it when Gaga is in a rough spot. She keeps everyone on their toes and without her actively trying.. it's like everyone has given up outside of a select few.
Last friday I had an oral exam and my partners and I were talking about it, when someone said having a poker faceta during it and other said "yeah like Lady Gaga " and they laughed

Even in her "flop" era, she keeps all the other pop stars on her toes. They do everything based on what she does; they're constantly trying to one-up her. Miley kind of succeeded, but she never would've done some of the things she did in the first place (her performances, her outfits, her tour, or behavior) if Gaga hadn't raised that bar years ago.
Just look at everything the pop stars do. From their tours to their performances to their videos, nothing would be the way it is today if Gaga hadn't paved the way and started doing it first. That's something Gaga doesn't get enough credit for, here (obviously) and elsewhere.
