On further listening, why the eff was Sex Dreams not the lead. Its infectious, catchy and completely different from her discography. Itd also ride on the S&T/Blurred Lines trend. It needs to be a single.

Also after watching the performance, Aura shouldnt be a single. I loved the performance but it has Judas 2.0 written all over it. It should remain an album gem/fan favorite. shell give it special treatment as the telephone sequel.

Aura, while not being that much different... you can clearly hear that the production is much better, and more polished. I think it's very radio friendly if they have an edit without the intro so radio can choose which to play.


Sex Dreams is EVERYTHING. It's very Blondie/Janet in every good way imaginable. The mic couldn't handle her voice though.. it got a little shouty during the verse. I can see why it was a contender to be a first single.

ARTPOP is ethereal. VERY good. The chorus is EVERYTHING, and the bridge. is great.

Swine reminds me of Tina Turner during the verses. It's very bipolar though. It's like two songs in one. I think that the studio version will be much better as it will have polished vocals, and such. It has potential.

MANiCure reminds me a lot of the B52's. Cute song. Might like it better in final studio form.

I don't think I Wanna Be With You will be on the album. I think it was just for fans. Though I could see it being a bonus track, or having a more upbeat version on the album like The Edge Of Glory.

Jewels & Drugs. Wow.. where to begin. It's one of my highlights. Twista is one of the best rappers around no matter how irrelevant people might think he is. I'm glad she went for more down to earth people who aren't as popular instead of going for commercial rappers. The song is VERY reminiscent of something that would have been on The Fame in an earlier version. The "stupid crazy" line is SO The Fame.

I can see why Applause was picked first.. it has almost no burn factor, and it's the most commercial of the songs we've heard so far. It's VERY exciting to me that I haven't heard one thing I dislike, and we still have half of the album we haven't heard! Most of the performed songs were DJWS productions.. so we still have lots of Zedd/Madeon productions to hear.
