I craved for the studio version for so long but it's only until recently I realized that that's what makes it so special, the intimate and lovely manner in which Bey gave it to us. That live rendition is heart melting.

That song gives me hope for love, that one day I'll wake up in the morning and see that person next to me and have her sing the song in my mind. Top 10 Bey songs for me!

Also, Sandcastles is underrated! It's raw, honest and beautiful, it's not really THAT bad!

Actually Tommy Mottola was responsible for that. He suggested the hair color (blonde) would look good with her skin tone. Which was just before the Survivor era kicked off. He talked about it in his memoirs . Plus blonde works well with her light skin tone (with or without a tan). It gives it a warmth that she doesn't get with darker colors.The darker hair colors only works for her when she has a tan. Anytime she rocks darker hair colors without a tan, it looks very harsh on her.
