Holy **** guys, look at what this person posted on GagaDaily. (It was in response to the question of why fans think Venus is so good, so take that into account when reading it.) I love ARTPOP, but honestly, I think this was the original problem with the concept of the album that eventually led to it's underperformance compared to her past work.

I agree that it is overrated by fans but not for your reasons. I think the chorus is one of her best, I think its catchy.
The structure of the song isn't that weird. I get what she was going for and even if some people can't digest it, I don't have a problem with the structure. I do however in a way think the song is like a Kidz Bop version of Geneva Jacuzzi or other performance art driven artists such as her. Not because Gaga isn't capable of better but I think she tends to dumb herself down a lot for her main consumers and then what is a good idea becomes a disjointed one because its not as creatively and boldly odd as it could've or should've been. She has this disconnect between making something eccentric and great and making something thats commercial and appeals to everyone. She always forces herself to be caught in that limbo, so for her to have a whole concept of an album about fusing those two things together perfectly when she never seems to be able to is what makes ARTPOP the critically mixed album that it is. She couldn't veil her shortcomings under anything because thats what was center stage.
Every song on TFM + every song on BTW(Including Americano) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Donatella.

It does make allot of sense. But I can't really blame her. I mean, it's so much for a person to handle. She is a human being and she want's to do the right thing, and she want's to please too many people, even if she says she doesn't give a *****.
Oh well, it's time to move on. Gaga does, so we should too
I'm here for a dark album full of disappointments (a la TFM), I mean she must've written some songs about those dark moments she's gone through in 2013. Songs about her broken hip, the death of her Grandfather early 2013, the media turning against her, or a diss song to Angela Chang, etc...
Why do you want her to focus on the bad things in her life? Fans begged her to be "fun" again during the last era and now they want her to go back to being depressed? What's the deal? When she focuses on the bad things, she rants on LittleMonsters.com and begs people for forgiveness. She needs to focus on good things so she can remain in a good mindset. It's not about you or the music anymore, it's about a woman who has dealt with a lot of ******** finally being happy.

And that fun music didn't smash so they want sad music again.
Any fan willing to buy Act II would buy C2C regardless of their music taste tbh.
Gaga's "backstage info," while surely embellishing and telling stans what they want to hear to get them excited, basically confirmed even if she does release Act II it won't be her next LP. She wants to release it "eventually." Gaga is (hopefully) coming with something new that has a fresh chance to connect better than Act II did. If she can have an era like that, then Act II be more commercially viable.
C2C's performance commercially will be really interesting. I'm not expecting anything major, but we could be pleasantly surprised at it doing better than most people would have assumed.
Yup.
I think ACT II was scrapped long, long ago. The moment she said she was undecided was when it became obvious that either she, the suits or both had no intention of releasing it. For there even to be any question says to me that they didn't think it was good enough/right, or their plan of action had changed. If it was amazing and a good idea, they wouldn't sit on it.
Releasing it in future makes no sense. I could see her doing AP part 2, but with different material.
I agree on C2C. I'm not expecting much, but I have a feeling it'll do well for her - even if it isn't with sells.

What you say doesn't make any sense because she wrote ARTPOP when she was in a bad place too. She doesn't need to be depressed to create a dark concept.
I'd love for Gaga to tap into her happiness and release a euphoric album! Venus captured a bit of euphoria with its uplifting pre-chorus and chorus. The melody, the lyrics, and the vocals....everything works there.
But if she's going to complain about how sad she is and then make songs like 'I'm an a-a-a-artist free of the critic if I were anything else I'd need a m-m-m-medic, I'm just an ooooonion girl' then you must understand why she deserves to be slapped! Her excuses and justifications only made her attempts at music seem even more half-assed. Plenty of musicians are releasing better material and receiving both acclaim and success. Need for Gagz to stand out because of her talent like she used to. That is the only 'old Gaga' thing I want

Excuse me but I did not ask for songs like Swine, Donatella, Fashion!, Dope, Venus and this ****** Aura album version. And by fun music I bet no one thought about songs about pigs, gays, tans in Taipei, about the solar system, about fashion etc... Fun music- Just Dance, LoveGame, Paparazzi, Poker Face, Telephone,

I was more talking to the people complaining that they wanted a sad album about decay and disappointments but thank you for that.
