But she also knows that now that Beyoncé has done the whole surprise release thing, an artist as big as her would get criticized for doing it, not to mention Beyoncé is her idol. I don't think she'd do that. She could pull it off, though. Everyone in the world is thirsty for new music, whether they're willing to admit it or not. She'll probably sell at least $1 million the first week, bookmark me. Regardless of whether or not it's a surprise release, we all love her so much that she'll be fine. Not to mention, I'll be buying a million copies plus all of the international deluxe versions. I'm such a hardcore stan.

I don't want the surprise release because she needs to have physical and digital copies of the album availabe the week of it's release.

Some of her fan base (I say some because despite popular belief her fan base consists of every age) is older and might not use iTunes. She'd still likely sell a million her first week no matter what, but I'd much rather she go for something bigger.

She needs to get the word out to all of her base regarding a new album and they need to give at least a week or two for that.

They also need to make the tracks album only the first week of it's release on iTunes as well. Force people to buy the album and not cherry pick 2-3 songs.

Just surprise release a single and have the album available for pre-order the same day.

That'll give the album press and attention but still enough time to fully get the word out.

Now the more I think about it I think he may be talking about another artists Remember when he first tweeted Adele was going to release this year? He didn't list her as the first artist so she is lower in priority to him

Likely because of the "imminent" story that came out in the press and he was probably told to tweet that it wasn't true so people didn't get their hopes up.

I'm glad he did though because we were all expecting new music any day now when it's still likely about 5-6 months away.
