I'm about to cry. Seriously. I'm so tired of people doubting rihanna. No #1 album yet. "Rated R" wasn't a big seller like expected. It had so much hype. People expected so much. Especially sinceit was the albuum after gggb. But were kinda dissapointed. I really want a #1 album. I really want big album sales. 5 years, 4 albums later, I think its time to be selling 350-450k in first week. Why can lady gaga sell so much, yet she's a newbie? An ametuer? Ke$ha. Katy Perry. Etc etc. Her counterparts sell more. What is about about rihanna that people don't like? Someone answer that for me. What do shhe do to make peoppe not like her or buy her album? Ugh like I'm pissed. Def jam is the worst label. Thhey rush rihanna albums, but give kanye, neyo, jayz, nd etc a good amount of time.

I agree with what you're talking about. Rihanna is getting the shorter end of the stick recently. And honestly, I think Def Jam is an amazing label, especially for her. They promote the **** outta her. To me, they rush because she is their biggest money maker and they aren't making much money from other artists on their label. No hate intended.

well, in my opinion, I think she tries too hard for her own good... I would've bought Rated R first weekhad she not put me off with Russian Roulette - I mean she's writing tunes about committing suicide, like really?! Her videos, additionally, are so devilish & her persona is so dark, contrived & seemingly unrelatable to the average fan/listener like me.

See, I can understand rihanna. People who don't hhave an open mind wouldn't have liked russian roulette. Her persona is beautiful. She's a normal person. She likes to try new things. Russian roulette wasn't the best first single, but the song was beautiful. Lady gaga releases weird ass videos. Wears ridiculous clothing. Talks like she possessed. But yet has millions of fans. Rated R was completely relatable, especially for me. "Hard" was relatable. U have to have that "I'm the ****" attitude to understand. "Stupid in love". "Rudeboy" "firebomb". Gggb is an epic album, but somewhat childish nd simple.

But I have to agree Russian Roulette was beautiful! Definitly the best on the album!

And I don't think people are doubting her, but being more realistic with Taylor and her massive sales and all the other big releases, plus the fact Rhanna has never had a #1, are reasons may not be confident of her getting it this time. But I really hope she does, because with all the hard week she's done, she really does deserve it!
