I think Dawn is full of ****, and Aubrey was/is really pissed off she put hands on her. To take it all into consideration..it did happen pretty fast and when TMZ released the statement, they didn't even respond for a few days. Maybe it was too soon since people were hounding them with questions, but again Shannon and Aubrey made their choice I guess, and everyone was somewhat ok with that. Now people are mad at Aubrey and Shannon since Dawn acknowledged the situation and saying she tried to "fix it" and work it out in private? Girl bye, her story doesn't even make a half ounce of sense. At least Aubrey and Shan wrote the note and called it a day, but Dawn keeps adding more fuel to her non flammable fire and confusing everyone even more.
Bottom line is, why should people NOW be mad at Aubrey for writing the letter, but we all accepted that and blamed Dawn when it first happened? Just accept the fact Dawn hit Aubrey, and Aubrey and Shannon said they're done.

Not really...its providing a lot of clarity on why the project won't get released. Not mad at her for doing that. Did you see the pages of people asking for the album (just a few pages back)?? THAT'S why Dawn said something....people hanging on to hope. At least she's giving some conclusion to the story.

I did see all of the pages and I'm not "mad" at her for saying anything, but I don't think it makes that much of a difference. She's not providing conclusion because now people are waiting on Aubrey to say something and it keeps going on and on.
They should realize more than anything that we really don't care about their mess they made. We wanted music and that's all, and without that there won't be conclusion because that hope and thought are still gonna float in the air. At least until 'All In A Days Work' leaks...

Now the label would have to clean up the mess they made (PR disaster!). And if they STILL aren't getting along and won't promote it....that means the label would have to pay all of those writers/producers on an album that sold MINIMUM amount of copies (due to NO promotion). They wouldn't recoup the cost/investment.
The producers/writers could still get paid, if these songs are sold to another group (who can actually promote them)...which can't happen if they leak them.
Dawn shouldn't have hit her, but Shannon/Aubrey should have tried to work it out b/f going public. Two wrongs don't make a right. And we're seeing that now...

Unfortunately, we will probably never know the full story behind why the fight happened, but it's ridiculous to think that Dawn punched her just off the random.
|
Agreed, but like I said and you said, we don't know. People can say Aubrey's mouth is this and that and yes it may be, but we don't know. None of us were there so I don't think it's fair to assume that Dawn didn't punch her for no reason, and it's not fair to assume Aubrey said/did something messed up.

Y'all acting like Aubrey deserved a damn punch in the BACK of the head because of how "unbearable" she is to work with. Please. Dawn's ****en lucky Aubrey isn't suing ha ass for those 12.50 cents. Then you bitches wouldn't get your critically acclaimed 'Sucker Punch Heart' EP.
Let's not act like everyone Dawn works with enjoyed their ride as well. IE Kalenna & The Golden Heart producer. Dawn & Aubrey BOTH have strong personalities and they most definitely clashed. But it shouldn't have been physical, and it shouldn't have been handled in the public like that.

But since Aubrey went public with the situation, it can't happen anymore because who's gunna wanna invest money into them now that they've got all this drama going on. It may seem like good publicity but it's extremely unprofessional
I just find it odd that Aubrey and Shannon shot a 'Happy Birthday' video for Dawn after the incident but couldn't work it out with her, yeah Dawn hit Aubrey but I still feel like there absolutely was more that went on than we know and I think way more
Dawn is getting all the blame when everybody knows Aubrey is far from the most innocent and subtle in the group
|
I wasn't even blaming Dawn in that post though, more-so towards whoever has the rights to the recordings, etc. I mean I'm pretty sure we've all established at this point that whatever Aubrey did, was almost deserving of a lil punch but whether she deserved it or not physical interaction is never justifiable. But moving back to the record, I mean wasn't Danity Kane the girls that even put The Stereotypes on the map? I remember "Damaged" was their first hit production-wise and DK talked about how they were new and up-and-coming from LA and stuff. Honestly this project needs to get released solely for the fans, and for Shannon's bank account. And I think someone mentioned that they filmed that before the incident occurred...?

At the end of the day it's all their fault. They can go rot. And I hope they have no more musical success from this day onwards unless the stereotypes release whatever was recorded.
...
That's where I stand at this point.

I asked this in another thread...what exactly did Kaleena say? I've actually never heard her say anything about Dawn (good or bad)...and I've actually searched for a interviews/articles back when Armor On was released - couldn't find anything.
And Drew (the producer) is mad b/c he didn't get a check for an album that only sold 10K copies indie. I mean...I don't know what type of check he was looking for. She wasn't on radio either, so less publishing income too. Her situation was a tad bit different than a major label situation...the money she did make needed to be re-invested into her projects (videos, photoshoots, etc).
He knew what he was signing up for...plus, he got paid to go on tour w/ her. Soooooo.... @ him.

So what I'm getting from this is Dawn tried to be the Beyonce of the group (which there was evidence of before fight club even went down) and clearly was working on her solo material as well. The other girls saw this over time but let it turn into a big ****** wreck before they said anything to Dawn (if at all). With Aubrey at the lead, she took Shannon to the side to rerecord and taper down some of Dawn's vocals that were overpowering the tracks under the premise of presenting these changed tracks to Dawn at a later time to Dawn AFTER they were changed and spinning it as a "heart to heart" (and Aubrey, gurl, no ma'am). This was all conveniently left out of Aubrey and Shannon's statements, and Dawn NEVER going to admit that she was trying to be the lead of a group that's not supposed to have a lead.
^ I would bet money on this.
Now if money can't be made off of this, I don't know if that's true or not because I don't know the business, I do know plenty of people wanted to buy the album. If it never comes out that's ****ing stupid and all three of them girls need to take their own advice and get a damn drank.

They can't do that either...that's why LeToya and LaTavia sued Columbia Records and Destiny's Child.
But they can pay Dawn out of her contract in a settlement (a la Destiny's Child) hopefully just w/o going to court lol. But again, what label wants to do that on a group that hasn't made them any money yet? lol

Because it could get messy if they attempting to get another member, or if the label forces them to work together.
Their contract is between: the label AND Shannon, Dawn, Aubrey...no one else.
Me personally, I think the label will let them go...and give the songs to someone else. I mean, I wouldn't want to invest any more time/money into it either.

But what is there to invest in anymore? Everything's ready to go. The best move out of this situation in all honesty would've been if they released this on Monday and on iTunes only. But if they're (label) contemplating on what to do now they should still release it in my opinion. I mean we were able to get "Lemonade" on the iTunes charts so it should be enough tbh.

You'd think with the majority of DK fanbase being Aubrey fans compared to Dawn she would fared far better as a solo artist. The struggle.

What yall aren't getting is that, yes the songs are recorded...but most of the time writers/producers aren't paid their advance until they secured placement on an album and it's released. They'll get a lump sum, and THEN get additional checks as the record sales. So no, the investing is not over for this album for the label.
THEN they have to invest in promotional materials and marketing...especially since the group can't promote the album (radio deal, online marketing, etc). They're gonna have to do more paid advertising / paid media to promote this album. Nothing will just sell on it's own.
They would be working completely "against the tide".

Dawn is delusional if she really thinks that what she did was OK enough to be "handed privately"
