At first you think it's a boy and that girl falls in love with him but he just doesn't dare to show what he really is. But she says that she'll love him no matter what. You can see 'the guy' is hiding who he truly is throughout the whole video ('he' looks towards the camera and the girl at him), but at the end (s)he turn to the woman on the right showing what she really is.

So the video is about loving a transgender person, that's how I see it at least

After listening to the whole album for quite some time now, I guess it's really safe for me to say that this is the best song on the record and is already in my list of top Katy songs

Also, listening to this with earphones is so heavenly and crisp. I wonder if I could still take the slayage if I would listen to it with a pricy set of headphones

I feel the exact same way. At first I was like, "Why the HELL would they make this the second single? " But I really love it now. Definitely one of the best songs on Prism.
