I feel the college life Glee aspect could have worked if the time wasnt divided with McKingley. Keep Rachel and Kurt while introducing a new cast and have maybe 1 episode or 2 them visiting McKingley to touch the fanservice button once or twice.

definitely. The college life could have even been a spin off on teen nick or something.

It should have never been a part of the actual show. i agree that bringing in the old characters once in a while would have been a fun twist. i mean, they could have even had one old person visit every episode and help mr schuster teach a lesson to the kids. That way we still got to see our faves but still focus on the newer kids

either way i hope these last episodes are good. i actually thought this episode was hilarious. Myron was a mess.

What about cast mates from S1 staying in school? That many flunked?

Well the last half of Season 5 was purely on the New York cast, but that didn't work out really well imo. Only Rachel's storyline with Fanny Brice was worthwhile, but other than that Samcedes was boring and Klaine was literally catering to those fat fangirl shippers from tumblr that have horrible taste and no one cares about Although Blaine is my fave he was most likeable in Season 2 and 4 when his storylines weren't always so focused on his relationship with Kurt.

The name of the show is called Glee, not college life or "Friends"

They should've skip Marley and Ryder and focus on Artie, Tina, Sam, Blaine, Brittany, Joe, Sugar, Jake, Kitty and Unique with Will and Sue. One or two guys from the old crew (Rachel, Finn, Puck, Mike, Santana, Quinn, Kurt, Mike, Rory and Laureen) should appear in every episode to coach the newbies and show how their adult lives look like. That would be perfect for me with an old-cast-only episode twice in a season

ddd this episode was great There were some messy parts but overall it was definitely funny and I loved the character development and also that the New Directions is getting bigger in size. I mean we haven't seen a ton of Spencer's boyfriend (speaking of which, redhead power!!!) but he seems good already and Myron is definitely there for some entertainment and laugh-worthy one-liners like Kitty. Was not excited to see Sue go back into the hurt locker as that's where the two bad episodes originated from but hopefully that storyline will continue to be shoved somewhere else.

The episode was hit and miss to me. I think everything about the Myron character is terrible but I actually did really like the twins for the first time this season.


IMO the reason glee went wrong is it just got too popular and ran to long for its own good. Glee was witty satire and parody of highschool life that people could also sing along to. It felt super fresh which is why it took off so quickly.The characters were always one dimensional because they were meant to be simple highschool archtype to parody and it worked for awhile.

The issue is when you run a show for that long you can't keep it going or you just get tired of the characters because they are no longer funny or witty, they are just a stereotype. Even having the cast graduate wouldn't have worked with the original concept because at the end of the day you'd just end up with gay kid 2.0, black independent 2.0, asian stereotype 2.0.

The entire premise of Glee only works for maybe 3 seasons or so in my opinion where you let the kids graduate and it ends. IMO had they done that the show would've gone in the books with other coming ofnage cult classics like Buffy, Freaks and Geeks etc
