I voted for Evanescence last night. Why won't they return to retire? They sank two more spots in the On Deck section instead of returning to the top ten. Did their fanbase just get tired of "Call Me When You're Sober"? They are only five days away from retirement. After I saw AFI at #5, I decided to turn off the TV and catch the rest of the countdown here.

Here is my ideal countdown for October 17, 2006.
15. JoJo - Too Little Too Late (I'd expect JoJo to jump tomorrow since she stopped by TRL today.)
14. Jessica Simpson - I Belong To Me (How did she get past AFI?)
13. Vanessa Hudgens - Come Back To Me (I heard a bunch of songs off her album V yesterday. "Say OK" should have been her first single. And her next single should be "Let's Dance.")
12. Justin Timberlake f/ T.I. - My Love (I guess this will be another number one video for Justin.)
11. Beyonce - Ring The Alarm (Tired of this song already... Used to like it, but I don't like putting up with Beyonce when she's angry.)
10. Jay Z - Show Me What You Got (I don't mind him kicking out Vanessa Hudgens, but I do mind him getting in the way of Evanescence's retirement.)
9. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars (I heard this song once on the radio, but I haven't seen the video yet. If you asked me to sing this song, I'd make up lyrics since I forgot them.)
8. Akon f/ Eminem - Smack That
7. Panic! At The Disco - Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have...
6. The All-American Rejects - It Ends Tonight (This song is getting old.)
5. Evanescence - Call Me When You're Sober (I'm only voting for them to get them to retire on TRL. By the way, none of their previous videos have retired on TRL. I have a feeling that Christina Aguilera will get in the way of their retirement in the next few days.)
4. My Chemical Romance - "Welcome to the Black Parade" (I still like this song. It's the song with the fastest tempo currently on the countdown as far as I know. It starts out at 75 BPM but goes up to around 194 BPM after the intro.)
3. Lady Sovereign - Love Me or Hate Me (How did she get to #1? Was it the video that made people fans of her?)
2. Pink - U & UR Hand
1. AFI - Love Like Winter (Jessica Simpson should not be ahead of AFI. I like AFI's video the best and may settle for having Pink and Lady Sovereign ahead of them with a few others I like, but not music I don't like. It's hard for me to believe that Jessica Simspon's fan base is big enough to rival the Despair Faction. How well did "A Public Affair" do on TRL? I want AFI at #1 the most.)

Both JoJo and Beyonce need to get back up to the Top 5 to retire! I'm in shock that Lady Sovereign got to #1... I'm not feeling Show Me What U Got too much. It should be replaced by Snow Patrol.

I wonder if Xtina and Justin will have any competition at all for #1... ANOM and SexyBack owned the spot until ANOM retired and LLW came in. But maybe P!nk and Lady Sovereign can pull through?

Not a good week so far! First Evanescence falls off, then Justin replaces them, Vanessa goes from 6-10-off, AFI falls from 1-2-5, MCR is still bottom 5, Justin goes from 4-2 in 2 days and now we have 2 very bad songs in the top 5 (sorry Jessica, but I don't like I Belong To Me), not to mention Akon & Eminem still taking up space on the countdown. And to top it off, Aguilera is gonna debut top 5 most likely and it'll be her v.s. Justin because it's all the fans care about....mostly these two! It's like a second coming of BSB v.s. *N Sync v.s. Britney in a way.

Well, the only good things are Snow Patrol at #14 and Beyonce almost off.....now I actually want her to retire! I mean, she's only had 1 freakin video retired out of like 15 (including DC3) and the only one retired is her best IMO. I mean, even if I hate the song, she deserves a 2nd retired song. Of course I'll never vote for her and if it retires, then I'll say congrats on hanging in there.

YAAY for Lady Sovereign! Her song is so funny and catchy, I love it! Of course i'm happy that Jessica is climbing, I really hope I Belong To Me has least as long a run as APA had. She would'ave gotten a #1 video if it wasnt for competition from Justin & Christina before so hopefully she can steal a day.
