I swore that I wouldn't put myself in this position this year, but here we are.
50-46/11-8: Like all five songs on the singles list to varying degrees, and I am also REALLY looking forward to seeing both the Pickups and Keane return.
45-41/7-5: Not a big fan of this particular singles set, but who cares? Muse! And Offspring returning is always a positive thing, but really, Muse! And trust me, as the biggest Muse fan, it does not feel like "just yesterday" that The Resistance was release. It feels like a lifetime ago to me, and I NEED new Muse so badly.
40-36/4-2: "Boom-ba-boom Super Bass", yada yada. I hope that this Killers album will be a good one. And No Doubt...seriously, JUST COME BACK. COME BACK, NO DOUBT! COME BACK!
35-31/1: Like every song in this set (and ADTR is the only one of the five that didn't make my own list...spoiler?), and Green Day was always going to be #1, but it's a deserving #1 on almost any 2012 list...except when Muse is involved.
30-28: How it ended? By walking, of course!
27-25: Well, I'll avoid the one song that must not be named and lavish praise on the other two. Praise, praise, PRAISE.
