Well not exactly, so many people have preferences for rock music.
BMTH is a Deathcore/Metalcore band, they are practically unknown here but it doesnt mean this fourm is 100% a pop forum.

2) Sweet Dreams - # 25
3) Video Phone - #77
Having transitioned into a more grown-up sound,
Beyoncé has gotten conceptual on us: Her third
album offers two discs, a collection of heartfelt ballads
credited to Beyoncé and a danceable set credited to
"Sasha Fierce," the pop diva's more brash,
lady-empowering alter ego. Though some of the slow
songs have thoroughly memorable tunes, the lyrics are
full of bland self-affirmation and saggy lines like "You're
everything I thought you never were." But the "Sasha" disc
boasts Beyoncé's most adventurous music yet: She rides
frothy techno on "Radio," turns out modal-sounding hooks
over 808 bass on "Diva" and juices the eerie, Nine Inch
Nails-style beats of "Video Phone" with lines like "Press
'record' and I'll let you film me." Another plus: The girl who
blew up going all melismatic has never sung with more
restraint than she does on Sasha

1) Heads Will Roll
MONSTER COUNTDOWN TOP 100 SINGLES:
1) Zero - # 23
2) Heads Will Roll - #13
Great year for The Yeah Yeah Yeahs! they released
their 3rd album titled "Its Blitz".
There is something fabulous about the chorus to
Heads Will Roll, the second track of the album.
For the first few minutes, yappy frontwoman Karen O
sounds like an imperious 12-year-old. But then comes
the chorus with its glacial 70s synths, and she suddenly
bursts into life. "Off, off, off with your head!/ Dance, dance,
dance till you're dead!" she booms, and it justifies her
indie-icon status like nothing else she's ever done.
No other track on It's Blitz! surpasses that 10 seconds,
but the band's glittery new disco sound suits them very well.
It's all cool, brittle catchiness, with a debt owed to Eat to the
Beat-era Blondie - something they partially repay through
the album's euphoric twin peaks, Zero and Hysteric.
Karen O's froideur carries even lesser songs, such as
Skeletons' formulaic new wave, and imbues the ballad
Little Shadow with the majesty of an ice queen. Great stuff.

Whats wrong with the people saying that Owl City
is copying The Postal Service sound? ![darh2](images/smilies/darh2.gif)
Owl City sort of symbolizes every kid’s dream of
making your own music in your room and somehow
making it onto a major label. On top of everything Owl City,
or Adam Young, makes it seem a little too easy picking
happy go lucky themes to lay on top of happy go lucky
electronic music.
Hopefully 2010 is gonna be a great year for him ![party](images/smilies/images/smilies/party.gif)

1) 21 Guns
MONSTER COUNTDOWN TOP 100 SINGLES:
1) Know Your Enemy - #
2) 21 Guns - #08
3) 21st Century Breakdown - #61
American Idiot seemed like their career kamikaze —
a concept album about American hopes and dreams,
with characters named St. Jimmy and Jesus of Suburbia?
Nice try! But it not only rescued Green Day from midlife limbo,
it charged their musical batteries. With nearly 6 million copies
sold and counting, Idiot became the sort of multiplatinum rock
blockbuster that isn't supposed to exist anymore, because
Green Day blew up into the sort of band that isn't supposed
to exist anymore — raging with heart-on-sleeve passion,
willing to risk falling on their faces with a grand statement.
Even the songs that didn't work or the plot threads that didn't
make sense just increased the fun, because Armstrong,
bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool were refusing to go
down slow. 21st Century Breakdown is even better, so
masterful and confident it makes Idiot seem like a warm-up.
They're back in rock-opera mode, dividing the album into three
parts, "Heroes and Cons," "Charlatans and Saints" and
"Horseshoes and Handgrenades." But there are no
nine-minute excursions this time — only two of the 18 songs
crack the five-minute mark — and Green Day focused their
ideas into their sharpest, toughest tunes. Armstrong brings
a compassionate edge to his snarl, even when he's spitting
out self-lacerating lines like, "My generation is zero/I never
made it as a working-class hero."

1) Unusual You
MONSTER COUNTDOWN TOP 100 SINGLES:
1) Circus - #04
2) If U Seek Amy - #67
3) Radar - #96
4) 3 - #40
What an amazing year for Miss Britney Spears huh!
She released her Sixth studio album "Circus"
on the forth quarter of 2008, The lead single
"Womanizer" was her 2nd number 1 at the
Billboard Hot 100, the second single "Circus"
peaked at number 3 while "If U Seek Amy"
peaked at number 19. She worked a lot returning with
"The Circus Starring: Britney Spears Tour" visiting Europe,
Australia and United States (2 Legs)
The tour, described as a "pop extravaganza", was divided
into five segments: The Circus featured Spears as a
ringmaster and a slave being surrounded by different
circus performers, House of Fun (Anything Goes)
displayed
a fusion of different themes including magic, eastern culture
and military, Freakshow/Peepshow was the darkest and
most sexual segment of the show; Electro Circ displayed
energetic dance routines, and the encore consisted of a
videomontage of Spears's music videos and a
police-themed performance. The tour garnered positive
reception from contemporary critics. The Circus Starring
Britney Spears was a commercial success, becoming
one of the highest grossing tours of 2009 worldwide.
A great number of tickets were sold after only a week of the
announcement of the tour, which prompted promoters to add
more dates. Opening night as well as every show in the two
North American legs were sold out, with a total gross of $94
million. The tour also became the highest grossing tour of
the year by a solo artist in North America, as well as the
fourth overall. She also released a Greatest hits album,
the single "3" is her third number 1 at the Billboard HOT 100

2009 = LADY GAGA'S YEAR ![worship](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/971600d3.gif)
It's been a big year for so many celebrities, but there's
not much question that 2009 was Lady Gaga's year.
New York native Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta
began the year as a hot hopeful and will end it as one of
the biggest pop stars in the world. And there's no one who
challenged, provoked, entertained and, well, titillated us
over the past 12 months quite like she has.
Her debut album, The Fame, was released on Oct 30, 2008,
and it stills at the top of the Billboard 200.
Gaga truly made her mark in 2009 as the most remarkable
pop star — and possibly the most memorable fashion figure
to come along in many, many years. She has proven herself
to be both a songwriter and musician of unusual talent, —
thanks in no small part to her primary producer/co-writer
RedOne, whose pumping beats and soaring synthesizers
drive many of her best songs — and a media-savvy public
figure of equal skill. She's both a classic pop star and one
very much of the moment: Her music is dance-pop in format,
but with a pop flair that stretches across many different
genres and generations. Her message is provocativ but
positive, and she's smart enough to engage her audience
(with tweets and constant reminders of how much she loves
her "little monsters") and still always keep them guessing.
Gaga's work shows a sense of performance-art and theater
that, these days, is arguably rivaled among major artists only
by that of Kanye West, which is why their ultimately cancelled
"Fame Kills" co-headlining tour made sense artistically
(although many were baffled by it). She makes every public
appearance into an event: She "died" a bloody death at the
2009 MTV Video Music Awards (after arriving with her "date,"
Kermit the Frog), smashed bottles over her piano at the
American Music Awards, performed inside a giant gyroscope
on "Saturday Night Live" and raised millions of eyebrows
with the "alien disco" "American Idol" appearance that
introduced her to much of the world. And her brilliant music
videos evoke the eras when artists and record labels actually
had big budgets to spend on them. "Pokerface" is a striking
statement of intent; "Just Dance" brings the viewer into a
deliciously decadent house party; and her latest, for "Bad
Romance," features super-futurist sets, semi-nudity, wild
costumes and the unforgettable closing image of sparks
shooting out of her breasts.
LADY GAGA IS GOING TO SLAY YOUR FAVES IN 2010!
