I see what you're saying unlike the people here trying to drag you. And although I see your point, at the same time the public might know about the release because of the hype surrounding her since Y&B and SSRemix. I mean why didn't our fanbase get her BTD and paradise singles this high? It just comes to show that she has many casual fans that have been exposed to her, that very well could be teenagers, but I don't see them as part of this fanbase.

It's pretty true that a large chunk of the GP has no idea what / who Lana is.
And the ones that do know her as the EDM Summertime Sadness girl that's called out in #SELFIE.
And the ones aside from them are the white girls and internet fanatics and people who give a **** about music.
And then a slice of THEM think she's talentless because of SNL.

Whoever is supporting her is doing a grand job.
At this rate, everyone's gonna know who she is. She's never been in this boat before!

Yes Lana began as an internet act but quickly rose to fame. You my friend are undermining the GPs knowledge. They very well knew/know about land del rey before this song came out. The album was almost at 1mill in the US before the remix came out. Not to mention that her views on Youtube were pretty impressive. These days you do not need a radio hit to be well. And Lana clearly did not need top 40 radio support to sley. She was already doing it before they jumped on the Lana trend.
