does anyone else stan for the newer remake versions of old horrors no matter how bad they are? Im just not here for some dusty ass CGI and bloody makeup that looks like it was done by a 10 year old.
I rarely watch the originals to remakes. When I see incredible remakes like Carrie, the backlash they receive pisses me off. It's basically just old people that complain because the originals were acceptable quality when they were younger. In reality the acting usually sucks, the cinematography is bad, and the special effects are hardly convincing
I've never been a fan of older movies regardless of the genre. Movies look so good now that anything older than like 1995 is unwatchable for me. Of course there are a few exceptions like The Breakfast Club but those are niche movies.

God, you're the ONLY person I've come across who agrees with me on American Psycho I find it incredibly overrated and silly. Bale's shirtless/nude scenes were hot but besides that...
I watched a film before called Under The Bed... surprisingly it was actually quite good... It's a straight to DVD release but for what it's worth it's actually worth a watch... heres the trailer for it
They put out a new trailer for A Haunted House 2. Besides the black priest and the guy's cousin, this looks dreadful I'll wait to illegally download it like I did with the first one.

Thank god someone understands me I wouldn’t watch a movie older than 2006 tbh

All remakes recieve backlash though. If they were to remake the Wizard of Oz there would be torches and pitchforks outside whatever producer attempted to.
Also:
60's/70's horror movies >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> today >> the bloody 80's
I need new movies to watch tbh, any suggestions? I like movies in the style of The Purge, Eden Lake, The Strangers, The Last House On The Left... Things that are a bit more realistic than "serial killer who died 15 years ago returns to his hometown to kill everybody".

I know, that's what I'm saying. The backlash is mostly from old/er people feeling nostalgic about it. I never hear young people complain about remakes.

You're Next! Great movie, my favorite from 2013. Watching it for the fourth time right now!
Vacancy, Vacancy 2, Urban Legend and Scream (the third sucks) are entertaining too. I love this kind of movies, always trying to found something new, or old.

I've already seen both Vacancy movies and Scream, but lemme look into Urban Legends! Thank you

Preach it bitch.
One time I hosted a watching party and we watched 1960's Psycho and all were ****ing bored as **** I've learned my lesson then. I also watched The Poltergeist alone one time and couldn't help but laugh at how bad it was. I know it was great for their time but there is no need to bash modern horror films.
Still haven't watched The Exorcist though and I probably never will. Maybe with some friends but not alone
Devils Due was boring and anticlimactic nobody waste their money
Worst way to start off the horror movies of 2014
Really? The trailer looked so interesting.
I rented a few horror movies on Redbox recently and I didn't get the acclaim some movies got. You're Next was pretty bad, not scary at all and too many dumb moments to take it seriously. Sinister was kinda creepy, but the ending ruined it for me. The Conjuring was a decent movie and I didn't even finish Insidious 2 because it was stupid.
OT: Spring Breakers is the worst movie I've ever seen.

I agree with you here, You’re Next was very unsatisfying idk why so many people love it. But Devils Due is definitely not something I would waste even a dollar on at red box, the Paranormal Activity movies have more to offer than that film. I was highly disappointed
