Lies is very, very okay. kanyeshrug. I just don't like Dr. Luke's brand of popstep very much. The bridge is QUITE lovely though. I kind of wish the whole song was done in that "watery" style of production. The transition from the bridge back to the final chorus is a bit sloppy.

But holy ****, The State Of Dreaming is really pretty and dramatic. Very unique. This doesn't sound like something another girl could have recorded, and I'm totally in love with it. The bells on the chorus.

IMO she is MUCH, MUCH better than Lana.

I thought the exact same thing about Lies. State of Dreaming is perfect though

Lana and Marina are similar on some levels though. Young female singer-songwriter with theatrical, melodramatic lyrics about the American dream, very expressive vocal styles. Marina brings a more energetic, technical approach that has mass appeal but some people see as shallow, while Lana brings the slow burn that's a bit more love/hate.
