I like Halsey and New Americana. Hold Me Down is using a sample of 'Easy' by Son Lux, which happens to be one that Lorde did a rework in early 2014 for the 'Alternate Worlds' EP. It's kind of like Halsey has taken something from each of the Indie/Alternative girls and rehashed it and yes she has put her own spin on things, but perhaps not enough to create her own identity.
I'm waiting for the Badlands Pitchfork review.
