How could I get to the city by train? Is there a way I could park close to a train station and then go somewhere over there? I literally have no clue of anything. Also, what kind of stuff I could do? Do you know if there are any concerts or somewhere I can see all the concerts or shows for this weekend?
TY and sorry for all the questions

Yeah, driving in the city is....let me just say I avoid it at all costs. It's not worth it between finding a parking spot and then the cost of the parking garages. I would absolutely take public transportation. Plus, on top of that NYC drivers are
I would say the best bet is to definitely park and take the train (or the bus, though I'm sure the Train is probably much easier). I'm pretty sure there is one that will take you right to 42nd st/Times Square (literally all trains and buses etc around the NY area go to and from Port Authority) and you will be good from there, in terms of getting around.
Edit: There is a Metro-North station in Terrytown and they have trains that go to NYC every 20 minutes. It will drop you at Grand Central Terminal, which is literally in the heart of Manhattan about a 10 min walk from Times Square and stuff (about 5 blocks).
