WHAT? This girl has done TD/BTW level promo and sent FOUR songs straight to the top of iTunes.
150k is TERRIBLE.
150k is what I would have given her with or without promo. Compare her to Rihanna, Katy, Ke$ha, etc. around this time in their careers, and it's about the same or damn close. She's right on par with them.
Yours truly first week 138k - The way the only it had #18 on hot100
My Itunes first week 150-170k. Problem #2, 2M sold in US, Break Free top10, Bang Bang top 10. Vmas, live concert, Itunes listening, live performances, the Beats ad for Bang Bang . What I should add?
Ariana's #s aren't bad objectively (if you compare her to other popgirls), but subjectively, they're disappointing. She should've climbed up a bit more from YT considering how much more high profile she is now.
A few of us already said that Ariana Grande doesn't have starpower, yet many think iTunes #1s are reflective of how many people will buy an album in the first week. Y'all never learn.
People always use TD first week numbers to make Ariana's first week sales look better but they forget that Katy's album sold 6.5M. My Everything won't be even Platinum.

Who cares? TD's first week sales were sh!tty, especially after a multi-week #1 and a song that was just catching major steam.
