The fans who don't overanalyze every single detail don't see that kind of ressemblance.
Do Mary's Song/Love Story/Mine/Starlight talk about the same subject? Yes. Can you seem an obvious ressemblance if you listen to each of those songs a dozen times? Yes.
Will the general fan and general public see these things? No, the songs sound a lot different.
1. Ordinary Human – OneRepublic
2. One Minute More – Capital Cities
3. Silent – Tori Kelly
4. Feel What’s Good – Jake Bugg
5. Children – Bruno Major
6. Whole – Rixton
7. Here Today – Aloe Blacc
8. Shine My Way – Sheppard
9. Difference Maker – NEEDTOBREATHE
10. I Lived – OneRepublic
Mary's Song was Her first narrative song that ends in marriage. In this song, the two people grow up as friends.
Love Story also ends in marriage, but introduces the theme "this love is difficult" because people don't support the relationship.
Mine is the real-world version of the fantasy Love Story. It still ends with marriage, but the "difficulty" comes from trying to make the relationship work in the face of real world obstacles (bills, etc) and Her personal history (careless man's careful daughter).
Starlight is the fourth incarnation, and it reverts to the narrative style of Mary's Song... Except it's pop to Mary's country. The song still alludes to the difficulties of a relationship, and still implies marriage (with the 11 kids bits).
4 peas in a pod. She really does just keep writing the same thing again and again.

Now we know how Jacque feels when we praise 'Treachersus'.
Wait, Jake hates Treacherous? What in the world?

But still...
But...
You get Nathan Chapman and Dan Huff to produce for you a simple and bland pop song with simple guitars and a simple beat? That's just beyond baffling.
holyground will be disappointed in all 16 tracks on Seasons. They will all have basic pop production and sound the same, just like another certain artist.

Maybe Taylor want the song to be like that. Simple and bland song.
