Barbra did nearly 200k two years ago. I really don't see her doing HUGE numbers this time around tho. She'll be around 100-150k just like Brit. I feel like Frank and FGL are the real threat. I really hope she can pull through and debut inside the top 3 but #1 is out of the question.

After both BJ and PG, it was hard to have big expectations, then again apart from those 2 messes, Brit's always delivered and Make Me is greart so I knew I was in for a treat but... Three things stood out the most to me:
+ The production is incredible. The album is incredibly cohesive and it flows so well. She experimented with sounds she never had before. This is like In The Zone + Blackout's baby but with a brand new twist too. I've seen everywhere that it completes the trinity, and it really does.

+ The lyrical content: this isn't some: "Let's go to the club-club-club I wanna get drunk-drunk-drunk and party all night long-long-long" type of ****. Even with the songs about sex and dancing... they make sense. They tell a story. Sometimes they're even deep. I'm incredibly proud that she had input in them too.

+ The vocals: **** yes She actually tried to sing and I love that she wasn't afraid to go to places she never had before. Not many people do, but I love and appreaciate her nasal tone so much. Especially on songs like "What You Need", it's like she really was trying to go THERE. And i appreciated all the adlibs and the different layers of her vocals. I was incredibly impressed.

With that being said, on more general lines, I'm happy with the outcome of this masterpiece. It really is a beautiful body of work, from beginning (with the eerie Invitation) right up until the end (with the mysterious and sexy Coupure Électrique).

These are my three standouts:

- Love Me Down: I love the attitude on the verses and the breakdown in the chorus takes it to a whole new level. I also love the island vibe on the pre-chorus. Please be a single.

- Slumber Party: the sexy verses and the latin-influenced chorus This was my favorite on the first listen.

- Man on the Moon: "I can't compete with the stars in the sky I'm invisible... invisible" THAT. IS. ALL.

It was really hard to just pick three, but honestly the rest of the album is pretty much equally outstanding and incredible. I seriously love and praise every single song. The sultry and Perfect Lover influenced "If I'm Dancing", the sassy almost pop-rock "Liar", the moody "Invitation" and foreign influenced "No Seas Cortés" and "Coupure Électrique". Each song sounds like a masterpiece for me. This is a 10/10. I'm impressed, proud and slayed

The highlights of BJ weren't enough to make up for the overall awfulness and vocal trickery. It's a literal blight on her discography.

About the #'s, i think she'll be #4 (Barbra #1, FGL #2, Frank's 2nd week #3) and debut with 70-75k pure sales, 85-95k SPS. Unless Frank sells less than that (and i hope so, so she can snatch a top 3).

About metacritic score, i think she'll be on par with most of her albums, around 64-69. She's not a critics darling but she's not hated by them too. They only dragged her on BJ for obvious reasons but since Glory is a great album she'll have decent reviews.

As a Britney fan, even in her worst times, you could always expect great music from her. See "Blackout" for example, so it was truly disappointing to get an album like that from her. She can do miles better and this is proof. Personally, I feel like, not only is it her worst album, it's just a terrible album period.

BJ has become a lot more reviled over time, but also because a then irritating instance of her not being/feeling present on portions of a couple of tracks with the reliance on she-who-shall-not-be-named has now turned into "she didn't record anything but like 2 songs!" hyperbole (which is just not true) that has fans hating it even more since we are now getting good material again. In any case, it feels like a half-assed effort that she didn't even care for, which was worse because of how her team promoted it as her "most personal album". It still has a few pretty good songs though, but a lot of the material is just basic and beneath her honestly.

In any case, she has 200% recovered from that nonsense because Glory slays.
