I'm the night-sky
I'm the fire in your eyes
And I want you
Now and for all time
I'm the cold heart
I'm the secret that you hide
I'll be listening until you decide
1989 is such a full fledged pop album, it's kinda rare to see that nowadays considering how much easier and more formulaic making music has become in the past 10 years or so. Few artists really take their time to craft something even somewhat different and progressive from what's popular.
After she gives birth, don't expect the "People Like Us" singer to slim down in record time like other celebrities often do. "I've never been Gisele Bundchen," Clarkson said, "so ain't nobody expectin' that! I like to set a [low] standard so people don't expect a lot."
How's 1989 progressive or in any form different from what is mainstream if even PRISM came before using a similar sound in some of it's songs?
Most of the songs on 1989 wouldn't rlly fit well on Prism tho. "All You Had To Do Was Stay", "Bad Blood", and "How You Get The Girl" are the only ones that would fit, and two of those are reaching. It's not an incredibly innovative sound (it's actually not innovative at all), but it's a unique sound within the mainstream pop landscape, and it's a progressive sound for her personally. idk
