LOL but uhm on a reals, why is so much attention placed on black films or roles that highlight slavery or prostituion or substance abuse or performances where one is treated as the subordinate? I wouldn't be upset if Julia Roberts takes the Oscar over Lupita Nyong'o either because I really was impressed with her performance in "August: Osage County." I want to say it's the best performance of her career. But what's worrying is that if Roberts wins over Nyong'o, then I think that greatly decreases the chances of Michael Fassbender winning for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for "12 Years A Slave." It comes across as "racist" or "insensitive" if Fassbender wins for playing a slave owner and Nyong'o and Chiwetel Ejiofor lose for playing slaves. Julia Roberts killing her half-sister is causing a ripple effect, changing the outcome of The Oscars for herself and for everyone else involved. Who knew Julia Roberts was that powerful.
