Apparently Jessica is out of her SM Entertainment contract. IDK how true it is since we know she signed for an extra three years last year, but Chinese media was reporting it, according to OH.

EDIT: Also, technically YG shouldn't be making millions from CL's debut in the US. It's a separate release altogether, since it's coming from her US label, which YG himself has no ownership of. He'll make money of the Korean distribution of it, but this won't be like YGEX in Japan where it's his label releasing. This is Scooters thing more than YG's.

Actually Scooter is just a manager, he's not paying. Her label are the one paying all the studio time, collab and producer. If she's not signed in the US, then YG is paying. Scooter just have the big portfolio with all the big names.

NO she is legit signed to schoolboy records which Scooter Braun owns for her US debut. All acts signed under SB projects are also under Schoolboy including Psy.

That's was his biggest mistake with SE7EN, thinking he could control everything from SK. Cause with good management SE7EN could actually have smashed, he had all those rappers and big producers, from Darkchild, to Danja, just to waste, because no one could manage him in the US.

I mean gay pride performances, showcases and working with big names are cute, but without TV Show, Advertising and make the public aware of who you are, they basically won't discover you just by looking by themself on iTunes and playing all the snippets.
