Older generations know how to speak spanish but right now spanish is now removed from the curriculum so I don't know spanish. But some tagalog words are dervide from spanish like
Bisaya (or Visayan), 2nd most spoken dialect in the Philippines, is probably the closest to Spanish out of all the hundred plus dialects we have in this country. A lot of our words are really similar and we count the same unlike Tagalog which is (isa, dalawa, tatlo, apat, lima...)

I know Magellan was Portuguese, but since we were talking about Spanish stuff I just thought I'd bring him up. After all, he was hired by the king of Spain to conquer other places.
