Gonna get into Bedtime Stories later this week with Ray of Light. Strange order, I know, but I feel like I should keep going until MDNA and then go back to the beginning with Madonna, Like a Virgin, True Blue, and then end with Like A Prayer. Is this a bad experiment? I'm feeling pretty sure of myself with it.
I love the album but the lead single irritates me lately.

The whole Madonna being almost naked, the man pulling her corset (a symbol of women oppression) until she can't breathe, using and abusing her is a very personal experience for Madonna. On some dates she even cried during this part of the show.
My guess is it's a reference to Guy but anyways, I think like a virgin was the better choice considering the theme.
The theme was Masculine/Feminine with Vogue, The Erotic Candy Shop, Human Nature and later Love Spent in it, in my opinion, Bad Girl would fit in very well just in betwwen the TECS and HN (ofc there'd be no corset choking... or it could be )

For me Madonna's discography is one of the most cohesive ones. You can clearly see her evolving with each album . So, IMO, if you're going to listen to all of her albums it'd be interesting if you could go from the very first album all the way till MDNA . It's like a timeline . That's my advice for you
Such a beautiful performance vocally and emotionally I just wish it was longer.

The whole circus segment from that tour is pure slayage.
Hanky Panky, Deeper and Deeper, Die Another Day and Lament >>>>>>MDNA
I wouldn't go that far MDNA is her best tour while Re-Invention is her worst imo (I use it though)

You should buy it just because it's her best GH album and showcases her iconic and diverse discography

I like Revolver not one of my faves of hers but still a bop and official single release with a video wouldn't have gone amiss.

Yeah. Let's remember Deeper and Deeper and her vocals , especially @ 3:38 Slayage at its best tbh
How did I forget about this performance ? . Her vocals and sex appeal I would cry tears of joy if she revisited this sound for a few tracks on the new album

THIS !! The LAV performance was perfect for teh section of the show and it completely reinvented the song. LAV >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bad Girl anyway.

I think there is one where she is wearing a white shirt and a necktie and she looks like she doesn't have a neck That pic is 10 times worse than her infamous 2008 pic

Just watched the Drowned World Tour, which I haven't seen in a long time. Although the GP really doesn't like this tour, because lack of greatest hits, this was a tour I believe set the standard for Tour Interludes.
I wish Madonna performed Time Stood Still. It's a really obscure song but I love it with all my heart. Same with Love Profusion.
The things we can't have
I've been gone for too long it seems. Like 4 pages and I've barely posted. Sooooo
- Dear Jessie is complete trash, one of the worst songs Madonna ever recorded. Love Song is the first Madonna song I ever recall hearing. My cousin was a Prince stan and bought Like A Prayer for it.
- 'Celebration' is missing Bedtime Stories tracks, like But I can't wait for the next greatest hits album.
- The Re-Invention Tour had such a scattered assortment of songs from each album, but I'm not sure if I like the choices. Express Yourself, Burning Up, Die Another Day, Like A Prayer, Into The Groove and Papa Don't Preach (especially with that American Life reprise at the end) all faves.
- Drowned World Tour is Madonna's most theatrical tour! The Geisha segment looks like a stage play come to life! I'll never understand why she chose the Perfect Blue movie as the visual part for it.
