Jonna will never make it as a mainstream girl. But that's not what she's trying to be. She probably already thinks she's made it in her book. I can see her having a cult following for a really long time, the iamamiwhoami project is so captivating
I also think she's having an issue that may become more prevalent as time goes on and technology advances. Most of her promotion, exposure and focus has been on the internet. She's obviously based in Sweden but it's not like that's her main market. She's basically got her cult following spread out throughout the english-speaking world (mostly, I'm sure). Her popularity isn't going to reflect in a single market. I'm trying to think of other artists that might have this same problem
