It's interesting how some of the new stans wanna whine and bicker about MTV getting the boss move from Bey. Forgetting MTV was the same network several years, that refused her from using a video content about herself. Which is why she started doing her own videography. I feel like some of y'all need to rewatch LIBAD documentary. I can't blame Beyoncé for her current attitude towards radio and the traditional promo outlets, especially after the 4 era debacle. All the top 40 radio stations and so call casual fans from the IASF era all abandoned her, as soon as sh*the the fan. Still, she was out there(pregnant) promoting her butt off. I am so sick & tired of the new fans crying about song promotion. Like where the f**ck was your support during the 4 era?!? When Bey was still playing their game and getting dragged, where was your outcry?!? Some of y'all wouldn't have survived the Bday era, when the Beyoncé haters was at it's peak. After all the mess she went through the 4 era, I will always stand by her career decisions. That's all

It's old fans too.
Anyway I agree, I don't think a lot of the people whining actually bother to listen to and take seriously what Bey says in LIBAD, Self-Titled, and Yours + Mine. They need to pay better attention and realize what Bey actually cares about now. Maybe then they'll learn to let it go. They are really worried about the wrong things. If it's that much of an issue for you the way Bey manages herself then stop stanning and save yourself a headache. Plenty of artists doing things the way everyone else does. If in your opinion you think it's going to hurt her in the long run that's fine but don't try to impose it on us calling us stupid and delusional because we're unbothered and don't share the same frustrations as you, it's childish and rude. All I ask for from Beyoncé is hard work, dedication and great music/performances/tours, when she stops delivering that then i'll understand the meltdowns.

She has no one but herself to blame for the 4 era
RTW as the lead? Sis
Love On Top, Countdown, End of Time would've been safer and high quality single choices and RTW could've been the risk 4th single after the album scanned 3 mil

Many fans will not understand what Beyonce is doing until she has at least two more eras similar to "Beyonce" & "Lemonade."
Think of her albums like movies. She literally releases quality work, and then let it speak for itself. Many of the great films don't necessarily worry about box office scores or yearly promotion. Many also become cult classics that stand the test of time - which explains why Beyonce's streaming power is so high compared to the other girls.
Secondly, the music industry has a way of simultaneously aligning chart success with quality. "Well Adele sold 30 million albums so she must have the best album, etc." While other more qualifying acts that do not have the industry push as others get forgotten. She is using her star power to sacrifice her sales in order to show that quality does not equate sales. That is why an increase of album interest these days is starting to shift from simply a label push to "word of mouth" these days.
I also feel like her reasoning is even more advanced & complex than we realized. With each power move, however, it becomes more & more clear what she is doing. "Formation" becoming the most impactful single of the year without even being on sale or listed on YT truly speaks volumes - I think the GP will start looking at music differently in the future - really all thanks to Beyonce.
Also - because she is not dependent on chart success - she has trained her fans to go directly to her for music. This gives her power to release whatever & whenever the type of music she wants - and people will simply buy the album & go see her on tour. So if "Target" or "Amazon," or hell even Apple Music - at random - decides to boycott her music again, her fans will still buy her album wherever she places it at.
It's really astonishing to see. She learned from the greats like Whitney or Michael who experienced downfalls after the labels shifted their interest from them. Her consistency will be one of her most legendary & remarkable components.

she's old fashion artist. not advanced. what she did and doing is old music days's style. as 80's.
I understand where she is going and why , however I don't agree with her.
business wise it's no good, dated style and some of reason is flawed.
but afterall it's all her decision, not by others. her manger is her. I respect that.
her priority and focus is different, and we can't force her to do thing she doesn't want to do.
so there's nothing we can do at this point and things won't changed. is is what it is..
you gotta just learn how to deal with it and live with it.

she doesn't blame 4's under-performance or sales, she blamed the 'leak'.
that's where she's mad at, the leak of music and information.
she was already on the IDGAF about sales/chart mod during 4.
the direct diss to radio on 'year of 4' , no radio interviews.

Great question.
When ST came out I knew without a doubt it was her best album. When LEM I felt like it was really close to ST, but my opinion has been changing non stop. I'd have to say Lemonade.

Atm, idk, a few months ago I would def. say Lemonade. But currently I am lost.
I always have seen B'Day and 4 as polar opposites, but dearly ADORE both for what they offer.
IASF is at the bottom for me though, it's her least consistent piece, it has some amazing highlights but in comparison to her other records it isn't really an 'album' rather a collection of songs.
Selftitled was clever and basically is a full circle moment, it brings everything together from her past album, but she took it to an other level. But on the other side Lemonade is also a masterpiece and even serves us some fields she has not experimented much with like Daddy Lessons. And Love Drought, Freedom and Don't Hurt Yourself grew to be some of my favorite Bey songs.
Dangerously in Love also grew on me a lot during the past years, but even though it is cohensive, you can hear it was her start, it delivered some classics though.

Her best album to me is Lem, followed by 4. 4 is so an emotional album, with a cute throwback vibe. ST is great, but I haven't personally connected to it as much as Lem and 4.

Lemonade is her best album hands down. Each track is necessary to tell the story.
None of her other albums have that even if you prefer them sonically.

Love Drought is the best song of her career.
After Legend on Top, that is.

idk anymore...i know my favorite Beyonce album has to be 1 of the last 3
and that depends what mood i'm in...whenever i listen to a Beyonce album...i get sucked into it so hard that i think its my favorite. until i get in a different mood for another album & i start to think that its my favorite. it just changes.
i can listen to IASF (which is over criticized) and start thinking it's my favorite
but i know it has to be between 4, ST, & Lemonade at least...during the ST era...i knew 4 was still my favorite album. but since the break between ST era & Lemonade...i started appreciating ST in an entirely different way than before. then Lemonade comes along and LEM was more immediate than ST to me. so it's all up in the air.
no matter what album that comes out...i still think ST will remain as her magnum opus...i think that was the re-defining of Beyonce on so many levels & also the industry....b/c look how many have already tried to duplicate the impact. many albums can be her best musically or most successful....but i think ST will be the most important.

Mess I always see a lot of 16-20 year olds talking about "New stans". Shut up your mouth kid, what do you know?

On my iTunes and her Roseland shows. Catch me in the Love On Top video (Which you can only see if you're stan enough to buy the DVD)

True because our absence from ATRL at the time meant we didn't exist
The more you talk about these "New stans/Old stans" the more you expose your immaturity. Your inability to tell the difference between a progressive business move and a train-wreck doesn't mean you love (or as you think, know) Beyonce more than us. Were half of you even born when we were imitating the Say My Name video poses or learning the Jumpin Jumpin dance?
lol crazy children.
