How does MTV nominate videos for the awards? I wouldn't be opposed to try and get G.U.Y. nominated for best video if the public can vote.

They usually nominate videos based on their views, or/and if the song of the video is a smash, etc. It's not about the videos anymore.(sadly) But most of the categories are fan-voted I think.
