Hopefully she becomes one of those singers who didn't have huge debuts but managed to make hit singles.
Rock With U could help her sales. It's a hot song.

I was figuring Discipline would have a combined sales total of 250k after this week which means my estimates are on par with HDD. I'm glad to see Jack Johnson hanging in there. Is anyone else getting tired of the name 'Jack' by the way? We've gone from Jack Johnson, to Janet Jackson, now to Alan Jackson. Kinda strange.

Janet can go two ways. #1. Promote like hell these next few weeks to keep "Feedback" playing, its rising on radio again, and "Rock With U" going as well. This can stable her sales to where she doesn't fall large decreases every week.
Fergie at 3,485,000. Just 515k from 4x platinum. I don't see her making it, unless the album is still around when sales begin to rise a tad bit in the Summer, but that can only happen if "Here I Come" becomes the 7th single.  Followed by "All That I Got".

I think the Dutchess will play out the same way Love.Angel.Music.Baby did. It'll get pretty darn close to 4 million but not quite there. Without any more promo/singles I think this album will sell about 300k through the rest of 2008.

Yeah to release something after "Finally" wouldn't be smart. It's called Finally for a reason. If anything, since Here I Come was released in Australia and may get a video, they could just release the song here with no promo just to garnish some sales but I think it's time to focus on her 2nd album or a BEP album. Finally is the perfect end to a very successful era.

She needs to re-release that classic with "Party People (ft. Nelly)" as lead single followed by the timeless "All That I Got", followed by "Mary Jane Shoes" as a filler single. That would make The Dutchess known as the most perfect musical era in the history of mankind.

WEAKEND SALES: The top of next week’s chart will sport two Jacksons and a Johnson, with another Jackson in the Top 10. Confused? Yeah, well, join the club. Arista Nashville country icon Alan Jackson’s Good Time looks headed for #1 Tuesday, with a debut in the 105-110k range. Brushfire/Universal Republic’s Jack Johnson appears the favorite to land at #2, with 55-60k, followed by last week’s chart topper, IDJ’s Janet Jackson with 50-55k and J’s Alicia Keys (40-45k). The Black Crowes’ Warpaint, on their own Silver Arrow label (currently #2 on iTunes), and SideOneDummy Irish punk-rockers Flogging Molly, will both bow in the Top 10, sporting between 35-40k, battling it out with Epic’s Sara Bareilles and that other Jackson, Sony Legacy’s Michael, for the last spot in the Top 5 with 35-40k. The rest of the potential Top 10 will include two of the following: Universal Motown’s Erykah Badu, Universal Republic’s Amy Winehouse, Big Machine/Universal Republic’s Taylor Swift, Geffen’s Mary J. Blige and Universal Motown’s debuting Michael McDonald, all with around 30-35k. (3/7p)
