The positive point is that people have reacted more than well to the song, so clearly, people are still here for her and are interest in what she can do next.
However, the release of this song can confuse some people as well because they think she's "free" and can now release music, which isn't the case (I mean she can, but if Luke allows it). This song is not a "comeback" single either. There are still a lot of questions around this release tbh. What was the plan exactly? What had Luke in mind by doing this? Could they reach a sort of agreement / settlement for future releases?
It raises a lot of questions...

I do see it as an official single but more of a bridge or re-introductory single than a full comeback single. I mean it's just a cover. We'll just have to see how Interscope plan to handle it, if it gets a video / more live performances etc. before totally writing it off.
