Sorry to hear about your dog losing a pet is never easy.

How about giving everyone those two points? Like, as bonuses to apologize for the technical difficulties. Everyone who had a point during those two hours will gain them back, and those who didn't will receive a bonus. There's no way that that can make someones score higher than another, because everyone will collectively move up one/two spots. The only people that could really complain would be those that only submitted during the two hours, but if someone only submitted once/twice, then they probably weren't going to get in anyway.

This is kind of a good idea. Without nullifying nor restarting the round, this is probably the best option.

I like posh' idea slightly, but it rewards everyone even if they didn't submit, which isn't fair to those of us who did submit during those two hours. The extension wouldn't be terrible if I weren't legit in a different time zone

It rewards them, but it won't place anyone higher than someone else. For example: if I have 4 submits and Staryu has 5, me getting the 2 hour bonus will put me at 6, but will also put Staryu at 7. Either way, he'll still be ahead of me by one.

That being said, this is still pretty much nulling the round. People that had 2 points may have been able to get past someone with 3 pts during the final 2 hours, if that other person hadn't gotten the 2 bonus points, too. It really is a sticky situation.


Maybe we can all move on, and the top person from each group during this round can get some type of bonus.

I could ignore the two lost hours, and then I could also advance the top 10 or 12 (aka people who sent the most). Then the remaining ones could complete another sudden death challenge tomorrow to save themselves
