SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
In response to some ideas brought forth by a player of the game, we'll be changing up some aspects of the game from what you're probably used to, in hopes of making the game more simple and easy to play.
FIRST: The point system will be heavily redesigned. As of tonight no promotion will be paid. Thread title promotion and thread OP promotion will be entirely on a first-come, first-serve basis and all performances will be free of charge - provided that you can all still work out scheduling yourselves. A limit of 3 people may use the thread OP at once. Promo will still determine chart rankings and sales. In addition, points will still be awarded with charting but will be used exclusively for buying new artists.
SECOND: Fridays will still be the promo-scheduling nights so that you can all work that out, as the chart wek will still end on Friday at 12:00 PM CST. However, reporting the past week of promo will now always be via PM to Miles Caulfield and Retro with the following form:
Quote:
Username:
Label:
Artist:
Last Album Title:
Last 5 Singles w/ Release Date:
Promotion List:
1)
2)
3)
...
..
.
|
Send a separate copy of this form WITHIN THE SAME PM for each artist under your label (this will only really apply once we get going with more than one artist each). Only the last two albums and five singles by any artist will be eligible to chart at any given time.
THIRD: Buying new artists will take place every Sunday. You can bid any amount on any artist to start off, no need to wait for me or anything - but you may only bid on one artist per week. At midnight, the highest bid for each artist will be located and that bidder will win the artist at the expense of the points they bid.
FOURTH: Y'all are reset to 50 points since promo no longer costs a thing. Point totals will only change when charts are released or when you buy an artist.
FIFTH: The ultimate winner at the end of the season, whenever that comes, will be based on total chart success.
That's all for now. Feel free to ask any questions in here and get stuff straight, we're a relaxed in here and are in no hurry.

Did everything we already bought still count?
If not, I want the thread title and an OP message for this week.

Correct; it's always been that way. That's what Friday nights are for - you pick what you want your artist to do the next week and then if two people have the same thing in one slot you just fix it with discussion.

Thursday Make-Up Articles
Brooklyn vs. Elliot, Day 2
In the second day of the Brooklyn/Elliot lawsuit, things began to get more heated, with the lawsuit actually beginning, with Brooklyn as the plaintiff and Elliot as the defendant. Both parties seemed equally intent on winning this case after Elliot lost massively during the divorce court case between the two, where Brooklyn won $2,000,000, along with several privately-owned properties owned by Elliot.
The court proceedings went as normal, and bringing a shock to reporters, including Brooklyn, when Elliot's lawyer claimed Elliot would not pay Brooklyn a single cent, stating Elliot was temporarily insane during his attack on Brooklyn. This resulted in Brooklyn jumping out of her chair to yell at Elliot across the courtroom, one report stating she yelled "WHAT THE HELL?! DAVID, YOU"RE ****ING CRAZY." before Justice Holland brought order to the court, also threatening to hold Brooklyn in contempt of court due to her behavior, but not following through with the punishment. Brooklyn's lawyer, Charlotte Eaton, questioned the statement, asking what could lead to Elliot being "temporarily insane" enough to drive him to attack Brooklyn.
Elliot smirked as his own layer, Rodger Howard, stated that the night of the attack, Elliot's mother passed away, and just before she did, her last words were "I'll never forgive you for what you did to that actress... She was good. You should fix things...", driving Elliot to an enraged, insane state where he proceeded to go to Brooklyn's home and attack her. Justice Holland was taken aback by the statement, and seemed rather confused by where to go from it. She began to question Elliot on the matter, and eventually blew of the remark, stating it was too unreasonable to justify the beating of Brooklyn.
The day ended on deciding how to punish Elliot for the attack, which would be settled (on a personal level with Brooklyn) tomorrow, Friday, March 7th. However, his legal punishment remained still with him being sentenced to 15 years in a federal prison, though he will be brought back to court tomorrow to finish the lawsuit with Brooklyn.
Paige Elliot's Boyfriend Revealed
After announcing she was seeing someone earlier this week, Paige Elliot's mystery boyfriend was revealed today as actor Robert Downey, Jr., known for his role as Iron Man among many others. Many fans and members of the general public were almost shocked by the announcement of the relationship, especially due to the age difference between the two, with Paige being only 24 and Robert being 48, literally twice her age.
"I really don't care what people have to say about it," Paige said when the relationship was made public. "In all honesty, I kept it a secret so that Robert and I could still show our faces for a while. People thought it was wrong, including my own mother when she found out, and I thought keeping it a secret would keep us both alright. Though, it doesn't matter. I love him, he loves me. That's all that matters, regardless of age."
"She said it perfectly," Robert followed up her comment. "Paige is perfect, and I love her. I think some people might get upset about the age difference, but in the end, it doesn't matter... We first met three months ago, when she was running, literally, back and forth between her recording studio in Los Angeles, her sister's apartment, and then her label's office... It was some Christmas Eve event going on in the middle of the street where everyone was going crazy... I was walking by, and I saw her running through the crowd from the recording studio over to her sister's apartment, no coat on or anything, just in a minidress and heels, and she just ran through the snow and all... Then she ran back out, holding a few CDs, then she'd run over to her label's office about a block away... And then come back. I ran into her, asking what was going on, and she just kind of... Ran away. We later talked, and it turned out she had a giant spike of genius for a last song on her new album she was recording, and she was changing everything on the album to fit the song in, and her sister wanted to know more about it, and so she just... Yeah. She does a lot of stuff like this. It's kind of great."
"We eventually just started flirting a lot," Paige continued. "We'd go out to things, he'd bring me to professional events, I'd take him to parties. We showed each other the older and more youthful sides of each of our lives... But together, we're just... Perfect."
Paige Elliot on America's Got Talent
Paige Elliot appeared on America's Got Talent today, providing one of the final performances of her single "S/E/X". The song was remixed as it was during her performance of the single on Conan, where drums are not featured on the song at all until the final chorus, and the intro and outro are also sung/spoken acapella. After finishing her performance, she then went to judge the show for the remainder of it.

Yeah, a little late is fine tonight since we had some bumps to iron out tonight and things got a little messy.
On a side note, what's the intended end to this game if it runs smoothly unlike some other seasons? I never got around to deciding how you win in the end lol

When can we expect the album to drop?
"All will be revealed soon. It's coming... You'll just have to wait. I'll release the second single before the album drops, definitely. And no, it won't be featuring some guest artist to try and get those extra few cents like some girls do."

There never was an official, smooth ending to any of them. Season 2 ended, but there was no "winner"; it just ended to make room for CaL2's All-Stars, which also ended early due to a lack of interest. Eric technically won. CaL 3 abruptly ended and got overthrown for the Re-Up, which ended to make room for the Re-Up's All Stars, which never even took off; no one was here for it. Season 4 ended because of some issues I'd rather not get into, and it made way for you.
