My favorite EDM track for 2013. Honestly, I first appreciated "Clarity" with its acoustic version, not the original one. I just find it more interesting and effective. It conveys the meaningful lyrics and it showcases Foxes' amazing voice. However, "Clarity" became a smash making me appreciate the original version as well. Zedd's gotta be the EDM DJ to look forward to this 2014.

Judging its countdown performance, we can conclude that this song is a grower. I admit, I wasn't a big fan of it when it was released. I actually think it was boring. However, I finally got the chance to love it when an acoustic performer sang this one while me and my friends were having dinner in a restaurant. There I realized that this song is brilliant. This song actually saved my Bruno-is-overrated belief.

Checking out the video was purely unintentional. I was busy back then but still took to opportunity to watch it. I was shocked to see Miley taking in a total 360-degree change in direction. I can't even find who she was a few years back. I admit it was a bop, but it never really left a mark on me. Not until the controversial VMA performance opposite Robin Thicke. That made me love this awesome pop material.

Ultimately one of the anticipated and celebrated lead singles of 2013. Like her previous efforts, I instantly liked "Roar" the first time I heard it. However, it was kinda off to hear portions of "Brave" in the song. It might not be one of those Katy hits that I really got addicted to, but it gradually became one of my favorite jams for 2013 as the year ends. Definitely looking forward to the upcoming Prism releases.
