it really sadness me because it was like things was going to work out in her favor this time around. I feel like L.A is trying to make her into the next Janet and you can't do that. She needs to go to Jazzy Phae

Hey I told her stans months ago LA Reid doesn't care for Ciara! He is only here for Rihanna, Justin Beiber and maybe Mariah!
She can't be the next Janet cause Janet is still here and is on a whole different level.
I'll say this, Ciara is a good performer and is talented! BUT she lacks that "IT" Factor.

She isn't trying to be the next Janet. She's trying to be the next Ciara. If LA wasn't "here" for her, he wouldn't have given her another chance at this profession. How the hell does Ciara lack the "it" factor? That's the main thing LA Reid looks for when signing an artist. Since we all know her voice alone isn't strong enough to blow people away, something else had to make up for that. He definitely wouldn't have signed her if she didn't have star quality. She wouldn't have had all that success earlier in her career, either. You lack common sense.

How long ago was those hits? She only has one # 1 hit on the hot 100. When she was big, she didn't do that much nor was she that huge of an artist.

L.A. is rebuilding her BRAND and he started with NOTHING. It take time, no single from her will blow up without time and work. Im here for an OVERALL era. EPIC is doing that, yall are just too blinded by thr Hot 100 ********.

hjhhhhjhjhjh Girl do you really believe that? With Carly Rae and now TAMAR smashing the charts with no reciepts, how hard do you think it would be for a girl who has the connects to the top producers and is being backed by one of the top managers?
The problem isn't Ciara's standing as a flop, its her nonexistent ear for hit songs. Nobody wants to hear that urban pop mess from 2006 anymore kjkjk. The sad thing is, its clear LA wanted her to release overdose, but her hardheaded self probably fought for GMG.

She's had like 8 top 10 hits. And her most recent one was in 2009. You probably just don't remember it, but she was massive for a few years, like Nicki Minaj is at the moment. Even getting just ONE top 10 hit is a massive achievement.
This isn't her "last chance", she's already had her chance almost a decade ago, and she succeeded, and has already had a great career. I'd love her to get even more hits, but even if she doesn't, she should still be proud of all she's accomplished.

It's going to take some time for Ciara to regain the appeal she once had as an artist. LA Reid and Ciara have to start from the bottom and work their way up. She's like a brand new artist all over again. Rome wasn't built in a day. Her singles aren't going to smash automatically off her name alone. The name, "Ciara" doesn't hold the same weight that it did 5 years ago, sadly. How does this sound like something from 2006? Quit lying to yourself. Just because it's not generic electronic music, doesn't mean it's dated. Also, you don't know what goes on behind the scenes. How do you know what LA wanted her to release? Ciara confirmed that Overdose will be a single, eventually. Just sit back and wait for it.

The thing is, people with waaaay less standing than her have smashed the charts this year.
Im not doubting that she has to rebuild her brand, but why rebuild it with stale material that didn't work in the past?
And we know that LA wanted it as a single because he leaked it and asked for the fans opinions on twitter.
Clearly he wouldn't do that for just some random album filler.
