As sad as it may be because she deserves the mass exposure, not everyone are familiar with the Soul/R&B folks, especially underrated greats such as Jill. Unless one has followed that genre of music closely, it's to be expected that they don't know the person. There probably are some great country and rock musicians who are amazing and have had some success over the years, yet the mass public don't know who they are.

That hot mess of a woman? I just can't! Although, I know it is to be highly amused by her psychotic antics. The actress, Tasha Smith, always play the crazy black woman in movies.....she does it quite well too. Jill Scott as far as her music goes, her peak moment was at her debut. She experienced a lot of attention and acclaimed praise for her debut album, "Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1" back in 2001.

She's a lovely artists and definitely is one of the more underrated singers of the music business.

Selena first week didnt sell so much with her two previous albums either. She has a very good longevity with 30% decreasing in sales and not 60-70% as the most artists sales after the 1.week

The point here is that while her first singles may do well, when it comes to promoting the album on the long term her label fails epicly.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering this is ATRL, but I figured more people would know who Jill Scott is. She already has a couple of top 10 albums on the Billboard 200, and some of her videos used to get played on MTV.
