Urban has never been her roots lol. She doesn't even have any urban songs, the most close to "urban" is Luxurious and it's more R&B.

Her solo style is heavily drowned in urban/rhythmic influences actually. TSE, Luxurious, Hollaback, Rich Girl, Now That You Got It, Yummy, Wind It Up, etc etc etc.

Besides the usual guys she works with (Tony, Nellee, Spike), she's close relations with Dr. Dre, Pharrell, of course Eve, Swizz, Sean Garrett. Even Rock Steady had urban/rhythmic influences all over it with the dancehall.

That's why these three singles (including Misery) isn't really working with the public. They're super pretty pop and that's never been Gwen's connection to the GP.

I agree and know that she has been surrounded by those people. But i don't feel like her songs sounds urban, tho. More like songs made for Rhythmic.

I've literally never listened to Fetty Wap before Asking 4 It. I was hardly able to understand him.

I don't think theres anything sonically the record is similar too. It sounds very fresh, modern and almost adult contemporary.

Me Without You sounds like a strong standout, so does Rocket Ship (aka the new Danger Zone YAS )

Basically this album reminds me a lot of The Sweet Escape, just with stronger standouts. A natural improvement of that album

This album sounds like a "classical Gwen" to me. There's a lot of synthpop tracks, some urban and EDM influences (but not too much)

The all thing reminds me of 'EMOTION'.
