The MTV Video Music Awards are always a haphazard mix of high fashion and OMG shockers, but despite all the can’t-miss moments (Miley! Bruno! ‘N Sync!), nothing at last night’s star-studded event said it better than Australian rapper Iggy Azalea‘s stunning sheer look. The 23-year-old-rapper called on Emilio Pucci to create a couture number with the perfect dose of va-va-voom as the annual awards show made its Brooklyn debut, and her unconventional inspiration made perfect sense.

“I’ve been a little bit Las Vegas and casino-obsessed,” the Moonman nominee told us on the red carpet. “So, I love some trashy glamour…and I think nothing’s trashier or more glamorous than a bit of a sheer number! I called up my friend Emilio Pucci and had his design house make me something amazing. My style always changes depending on the show, but with the VMAs, I think you’ve got to go a bit daring and do something special.”

And it seems as though her Vegas high has extended into her music: It’s where she just finished shooting her latest video for “Change Your Life,” which will showcase Azalea at her wildest yet, as she brings plenty of action to the nation’s biggest playground. “It’s got explosions, fire, dancing, kissing, fighting, nudity…all the good things you want to pack into a music video!”

Yeah, it's good. People on this forum act like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna, etc. are the only well known artists, and everybody else is irrelevent. It's not true at all. Even the people ridiculed on here for being flops like Keri Hilson, etc. are known by millions of people all over the world. So I'm not surprised that people know Iggy to be honest.

Island wanted to release CYL in the US 2 weeks after the UK
but after the letters fans sent to the label they changed it and it's now being serviced to radios first week of September in both UK and US (she also said released which could be related to being available on iTunes but hopefully it's sooner for the US considering the current date for the UK is October ?)

It's deliberate. I think she's realized that releasing it early impacts on sales, so she said on twitter that she isn't putting it on soundcloud and that we have to wait for iTunes. Hopefully we'll get the video before then.

ok so its getting serviced to radios next week both here in the states and the uk? idk how i feel about that since that will probably mean split promo schedules.

like at this point i'd rather her just focus on the us for a minute, she's already spent a bunch of time over seas.

but i mean at least this way she has time to do some radio promo here, let the song build for a bit hopefully. then go over seas and do the same thing while it builds over here, drop the video and put the song on itunes simultaneously around the world in oct, at the end of her promo rounds i guess. im thinking they're gonna release the video sometime soon instead though, which would be a mistake imo.
