Only the last one has any merit: The VMAs were ALWAYS in September; they only moved them to late August in 2002 so that they wouldn't be too close to the anniversary of September 11th, and even then by 2007 they were back to September every year (except for last year). And the Thursday thing has been discussed to death here, so I won't bring it up again.

Still, I don't know why they decided to go right up against the DNC. That's just dumb...
