They gave her that much because she deserves all of the nominations, shut up. It just so happens that she got nominated in so many and broke the record.
It doesn't matter WHEN the video views came in to play, the fact of the matter is, you CAN'T bring up YouTube video views by Justin Bieber (#1 because his crazy tween fans probably just kept hitting refresh Avril style, and #2 because GaGa has TONS MORE video views as far as the worldwide internet goes, not just the YouTube site).

Yes I've heard his squeaking & cracking voice sing live before. His dance skills are poor man Chris Brown dance skills at best.....nothing more. He's not that good.

BR was a great video so that deserves nominations
but "telephone" was just big because it featured beyonce
and was 10 minutes long but the video didn't make any sense....
i just think she is super overrated and most of that came only
from BR because she hasn't made a video anywhere as good
as that since then.....
and I brought up justin's youtube views only because someone
else brought up lady gaga's first most of her views don't
count towards this year's show but the views for "baby" do and that
is the most watched youtube music video....

and justin bieber is amazingly talented and if you took the time
to watch his videos from before he made it big you would see
that the only reason his voice cracks sometimes now
is because he is going through puberty and he even said this
a lot of times and yet he still sounds great anyway....
he just started dancing too but he's gotten really good at it
if you watch the STL video and he will continue to get better....

Yes 2009 VMA's was the most talked about show I ever seen You had AMAZING performances than you had Kayne taking the MIC from Taylor than you had lil Mama jumping on the stage with Jay-Z then you had Beyonce giving Taylor her moment overall it was a great show
