Gaga's music isn't generic? She's basically rehashed 80s synthpop/punk/techno/hi-nrg music with a glam rock look. All quite extra and derivative when she doesn't need to be. I honestly believe it would help her if she did more jazzy/Broadway and classic rock songs. It's something that her peers can't pull off but she can. It would help her cater to a more adult market and endear her to the public.
I remember in 2010 gaga stans, including myself, felt that gaga was above Rihanna and gaga didn't need a collabo. Now must of us are begging for a Sex dreams rihmix so gaga can get a hit again.

Please, the label chose DWUW when the girl was so excited for Venus. You can tell she still wanted Venus by those hideous outfits she wore in retaliation, barely mentioning DWUW and still promising a video for Venus.

She cares for hits, she's just not THAT thirsty for them. If she really wanted them she would get the Dr. Luke / Max Martin treatment, with the Sia writting and the Capitol payola.
I think Gaga still has it within her, she just needs a serious reality check - at the moment she's too lost in the fantastical idea of 'being an artist' and not realising it's the art that makes the artist.

I think LOUD would have been more successful actually .. LOUD 's success was really based of people wanting a fun lighter album from Rih ..
I think ARTPOP is a great album. It takes a while to hear past the noise but its her best album. If all her performances were stripped back of the ****ery like Swinefest she would have slayed. She's also in dire need of a stylist.
oh stop ARTFLOP has already sold over 100,000(probably more than what TTT & Una have sold)copies there and Japanese people mostly buy albums in Physical form.
