So what's up with the vocals on some of these tracks? At some points it sounds like her voice is so amateurly laid over everything else that it ends up sounding like mock-up vocals you would hear for a karaoke track or something

It's especially evident at the beginning of Sex Dreams, most of ARTPOP, and Jewels n Drugs. I know she's going for the robotic thing on ARTPOP but it just doesn't sound... right, I don't know? It makes it harder to get into them but maybe I'm just too used to the live versions. It's like her voice either stands out too much or the production drowns her out on most tracks

The vocals are fine. They don't sound forced or try hard. I am glad she kept to her simplicity formula that she used during The Fame Monster and The Fame. I will not sit here and let you all come for ha when a lot of you dragged Born This Way for being "overproduced." Will any of you ever be satisfied? Gaga served and it's time to move on to promoting the album to your friends and family. We must keep the longevity for this albums sales. And Interscope better make the right single decisions.

The only overproduced songs are "Fashion!" and "Dope". "Fashion!" is generally unbearable, and "Dope" would've been better with just the piano.

Then again, there are a LOT of things that need to be done to those songs to help them.
